COTABATO CITY – Anti-narcotic operatives arrested a woman for selling PHP3.4 million worth of shabu to an undercover agent in Marawi City on Monday afternoon, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM) reported Tuesday.

PDEA-BARMM Regional Director Edgar Jubay identified the arrested suspect as alias “Jonairah,” a 39-year-old resident of Barangay Pangao Saduc.

Jubay said the suspect is a high-value target personality who yielded half a kilo of suspected shabu during the 4 p.m. buy-bust.

“The suspect did not resist arrest,” he said in a report.

The buy-bust was led by the PDEA Lanao del Sur office, with support from the Army’s 4th Mechanized Battalion, Task Force Marawi and Marawi City Police Office.

The woman is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. (PNA)
