LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – The local executive of Sual town has offered PHP100,000 for any information that would lead to the arrest of two inmates who bolted jail.
In an interview on Monday, Pangasinan Police Provincial Office director Col. Arbel Mercullo said three persons under police custody escaped the Sual Police Station on April 12.
One of the escapees, a 36-year-old from Malasiqui, Pangasinan, was recaptured at a gasoline station in Sual on Monday morning, he said.
Based on police data, the two escapees are a 40-year-old male from Domalandan East, Lingayen with charges for carjacking and violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act, and a 26-year-old from Labrador with charges for RA 9165 and RA 10591 Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Mercullo said based on closed circuit television footages, the inmates took advantage of an unattended custodial area.
“The chief of police of Sual, Maj. Vincent Jasper Magsarili and eight others on duty during the incident were relieved from their post to give way to impartial and thorough investigation,” he said.
“The details and pictures of the escapees are on our social media so that you can help us locate the two,” Mercullo said. (PNA)
