MANILA – Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents arrested two high-value individuals (HVI) and seized more than PHP3.4 million worth of shabu in a sting operation in Laguna province.
In a statement Tuesday, PDEA said the suspects, identified as alias Leovigildo, 38; and Allan, 45 both residents of Barangay Biñan, Pagsanjan, were arrested at the parking lot of a mall in Barangay Gatid, Sta. Cruz town at 5:05 p.m. Monday.
The suspects yielded five pieces of knot-tied transparent plastic bag containing 500 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP3.4 million and buy-bust money.
The pieces of evidence have been submitted to the PDEA laboratory for chemical analysis and proper disposition.
The suspects are detained at the local PDEA facility and would face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. (PNA)
