MANILA – Thirty-four party-list organizations participating in the May 2025 polls are set to receive notices from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) for violating rules on campaigning.
“We will be coming out with notices for 34 party-list organizations. We are asking them to remove their campaign materials,” Comelec Chairperson George Erwin Garcia said in a forum Wednesday.
The groups that are expected to get notices are Trabaho, Act-CIS, Solid North Party, Dumper PTDA, Apec, Manila Teachers, BH-Bagong Henerasyon, 1Agila, Asenso Pinoy, 4K, Agri, Gabay, Philreca, A Teacher, Laang Kawal, and TGP.
Rounding out the list are Tingog, 1Pacman, Apat-Dapat, Batang Quiapo, Magdalo, Nanay, Pamilya Ko, PPP, United Frontliners, Uswag Ilonggo, Ang Probinsiyano, Abang Lingkod, LPGMA, OFW, Kalinga, KM Ngayon Na, Pinoy PM, and Pinoy Workers.
“Their campaign materials have the wrong sizes, not environment-friendly, and are in the wrong places,” Garcia said.
He said these groups would be given three days to remove their campaign materials.
“Otherwise, we will file disqualification cases against them,” he added.
The campaign period for senatorial candidates and party-list organizations began on Feb. 11 and will run until May 10. (PNA)
