MANILA – College of Saint Benilde defeated San Sebastian College-Recoletos, 25-20, 25-13, 25-21, Thursday in the NCAA Season 100 women’s volleyball tournament at the Lyceum of the Philippines University gym.
Wielyn Estoque scored 15 points on 14 attacks and one ace in leading the Lady Blazers to their third straight win.
Clydel Mae Catarig chipped in 12 points, Zamantha Nolasco had 11 points, including six blocks, while Cristy Ondangan added eight points, four on blocks, in the one hour and 10-minute match.
Skipper Francis Mycah Go had seven points, including two aces, while libero Fiona Getigan made 11 digs.
Katherine Santos finished with 12 points on 11 attacks and one block, while Christine Marasigan and Juna May Gonzales scored 10 and six points, respectively for San Sebastian, which took its first loss in three outings.
In the men’s division, CSB banked on Rocky Roy Motol and Arnel Christian Aguilar to prevail over San Sebastian, 25-17, 25-23, 25-21.
Motol delivered 16 points, including 12 attacks, while Aguilar produced 13 points in the one hour and 11-minute match.
Jacob Agassi Herrera contributed 12 points, including four blocks, and John Andriane Austero had 10 points, including two blocks and two aces, for the Blazers, who rolled to their third win.
Team captain Kyle Angelo Villamor scored 13 points on 12 attacks and one block, to go with 10 receptions for the Stags, who absorbed their third consecutive loss.
Justine Santos chipped in 10 points, including two aces, while Joshua Espenida added seven points. (PNA)
