MANILA – Government anti-drug agents arrested four individuals and seized approximately PHP61.2 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Cavite, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency–Zamboanga Peninsula (PDEA-9) reported on Monday.

The suspects, aged 24 to 45, were apprehended around 2 p.m. on Sunday in Barangay Bacao 1, General Trias City.

Confiscated during the operation were nine blue foil packs labeled “Very Delicious” containing shabu, with an estimated total weight of nine kilograms and a standard drug price of PHP61,200,000.

Operatives also recovered marked buy-bust money, three identification cards, two mobile phones, and a black van believed to have been used in the illegal activity.

The suspects are set to face charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, particularly for the sale and possession of dangerous drugs. (PNA)
