(Relaxnews) – Pictures showing the actor during the filming of the show’s fourth season were recently published in the press, forcing HBO to confirm the news.
While the network may have confirmed Zachary Quinto’s presence alongside the show’s creator and main actress Lena Dunham, it did not comment further on his role. It would seem, however, that the 37-year-old actor will only make a brief appearance on the show.
The “Star Trek” actor will not be the only new face to feature in the new season of “Girls.” “Community” star Gillian Jacobs has also joined the cast.
Launched in 2012, “Girls” follows the life of a group of friends, all in their 20s and living in New York. Their adventures earned them Best Comedy Series at last year’s Golden Globes, while Lena Dunham won the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Comedy Series.
The fourth season will be made up of 10 episodes and will be broadcast in 2015.
