MANILA, Dec 22 (Mabuhay) — Singer Yeng Constantino had nothing but gratitude as she marked her 15th year in show business on Thursday, December 16.

In an Instagram post, the Kapamilya artist thanked all those who have shown her support since she won the talent show Pinoy Dream Academy in 2006.

“Dec 16, 2006 nang manalo ako sa Pinoy Dream Academy. 15 years na ko sa industry today at ‘di nawawala sa puso ko ang pagpapasalamat na binigay ng Diyos na maging ganap ang aking mga pangarap. Isa lamang akong teenager noon na sumusulat ng kanta sa aking kwarto at sa bubong ng aming bahay na katabi ng punong aratilis. Hahaha! Sinong mag-aakala na aabot tayo sa ganito. Dahil ‘yan sainyo kaya maraming salamaaaat!” she wrote.

“Salamat dahil pinakinggan nyo ang mga awitin ko. Salamat sa lahat ng mga sumuporta sakin, salamat sa pagtitiwala nyo sa talento ko. Habang buhay akong magpapasalamat sa inyo.”

She gave a special thanks to her home network ABS-CBN, her talent management agency Cornerstone Entertainment, “Yengsters”, and family for supporting her dream of being a successful artist.

“Salamat sa @abscbn sa lahat ng oportunidad na binukas nyo sa buhay ko! Sa @cornerstone na hinubog pa ako lalo para mangarap pa ng mas mataas. Salamat!” she said.

“Sa lahat ng Yengsters and silent fans na nakikinig pa rin sa ‘kin ngayon ‘di lang sa radyo kundi sa Spotify na rin, maraming maraming salamat! Sa pamilya ko na buong puso ang suporta sa ‘kin salamat. Mahal ko kayo,” she continued.

“Apir, yakap at cheers sa mga bagong kanta pang ating pagsasamahan!”

Yeng, 33, is known for her hits “Hawak Kamay”, “Ikaw”, “Cool  Off”, “Chinito”, “Jeepney Love Story”, and “Lapit”.

Recently, she released a new song entitled “Kumapit”, which aims to inspire and give strength to those who are currently struggling amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Aside from music, Yeng has also dabbled in acting. She has starred in films Shift (2013), The Eternity Between Seconds (2018), and Write About Love, which was an entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival in 2019. She also has a special role in the Andrea Brillantes-Seth Fedelin starrer Saying Goodbye now streaming on iQiyi. (MNS)
