Kapamilya star Toni Gonzaga admitted that she turned emotional during her wedding night with husband Paul Soriano, describing it as “worth the wait.”
The 31-year-old Gonzaga, who spent eight years with Soriano before finally tying the knot last month, said: “Nung first night talaga namin, naiyak ako nang natapos na ‘yung buong wedding.”
“Kasi parang hindi ako makapaniwala na, ‘uy, grabe, hindi mo na ako ihahatid, na-realize mo ba ‘yun?’ Overwhelmed lang,” she continued.
Gonzaga added that she takes pride in having kept her virginity until the day she got married and that she exchanged wedding vows with “the only man in her life.”
“Parang bigla akong gumanyan kay Paul, ‘uy grabe, ikaw lang ang lalaki sa buhay ko, puwede kang maglakad kahit saan, sasabihin mo, ‘ako lang ang naka-ano sa asawa ko,” she said.
Asked about her plans to have a child, Gonzaga, one of the host of the ongoing season of “Pinoy Big Brother,” said that she remains unsure considering her current commitments with her home network.
“Nag-meeting na kami before and after the wedding. Mabait naman ang ABS-CBN, wala naman silang pressure na binibigay sa akin kasi alam naman nilang may asawa na ako, nasa tamang edad, so sabi nila if it happens, although as a contract artist you have to fulfil pa yung ilang duties ko na napirmahan ko na noon pa. Ino-honor ko naman yon,” she said.
The couple tied the knot in a Christian wedding ceremony held at the UnitedMethodistChurch in Taytay, Rizal, which was attended by their family and close friends. (MNS)
