(Relaxnews) – Jason Wu appeared on America’s Today show January 18 to offer styling tips on his upcoming collection for US retailer Target.

The designer, who cites US First Lady Michelle Obama among his fans, has followed in the footsteps of designers including Rodarte, Zac Posen and Missoni by creating a capsule collection for the store.

While the limited-edition range won’t hit Target stores and Target.com until February 5, Wu gave a preview of the collection, which includes women’s apparel, handbags and scarves. He also offered his interpretation of how the pieces should be worn.

Inspired by the idea of an American girl in Paris, Wu says the range is “gamine chic” and “a little mischievous,” with “American sportswear details” complementing the French aesthetic.
