As Collider reports, originally, there were five writers brought in to elaborate Wonder Woman‘s story for film, with Jason Fuchs initially selected, however — a press release issued directly from Warner Bros has now confirmed in fact that Patty Jenkins will “direct the film from a screenplay by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns, story by Zack Snyder & Allan Heinberg, based on characters from DC Entertainment.”
Gal Gadot returns as the title character in the epic action adventure, alongside an international cast which includes: Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner and Saïd Taghmaoui.
The story will touch on the origins of Wonder Woman before she became a superhero who was raised as Diana, princess of the Amazons, and trained to be an unconquerable warrior on a sheltered island paradise. In a twist of fate, all that changes when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, convincing Diana to leave her home, determined to stop the threat.
