(Relaxnews) – On February 27 Twitter users around the world are celebrating the success of silent French film The Artist and actress Meryl Streep at this year’s Oscars.

In total The Artist picked up five awards, including Best Picture, making it the night’s joint biggest success with Hugo, which also won five awards including Best Art Direction.

Meryl Streep was also praised for her role as former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in the Iron Lady, walking away with the award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.

Fans of the Sheffield-based indie band Arctic Monkeys are trending “R U Mine,” the title of the band’s latest track, which was uploaded to YouTube with its corresponding video on February 26 at www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQH8ZTgna3Q#!.

Also on a musical note, fans of One Direction are trending “#Hot30s1DDream” in reference to the ongoing promotion between the band and the Australian radio show Hot 30 Countdown.
