(Relaxnews) – The Miami International Boat Show is in full swing this weekend, and next week sees the opening of a unique art exhibition in Asia centered around hotels.

There can’t be many better places to hold a boat show than in the near-permanent warmth of the Sunshine State — Florida’s Miami International Boat Show may not be long, but it does cram in as much as possible, also offering plenty for divers, anglers and students.
The quirky Asia Top Gallery Hotel Art Fair sees Asia’s finest luxury establishments turned into galleries for a short period — this year, it’s the turn of the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong. The exhibition sees work loaned from 65 institutions in 10 different countries.
Qatar is experiencing something of a hotel boom at the moment, with the St Regis brand offering a new luxury outpost to compete with the likes of Radisson Blu and Shangri-La, also expected to open this year. The property boasts 160 meters of beachfront, nine restaurants and bars and a spa.
W Paris Opens

Starwood’s ultra-hip W Hotels made a splash in London last year and early indications suggest it will do the same in the City of Lights, offering 91 trendy guest rooms just steps from the Garnier Opéra.
This international tourism show is one of the biggest of the year, with countries from all over the world pitching up to highlight what’s on and what’s new. This year will see an expanded travel technology area and discussions covering hot topics such as tourism following the Arab Spring and cruise line safety.
