(Relaxnews) – NYC & Company, the official New York City tourism office, has recruited the singer as its “Global Welcome Ambassador” for the 2014-2015 season. “Welcome to New York,” a track from her new album “1989,” was revealed as the official song of the destination’s latest advertising campaign.

Named “Welcome to New York” after Taylor Swift’s single, the campaign invites travelers to “get inspired” and “be transformed” through a trip to the Big Apple.

At the website Nycgo.com, tourists will find videos in which the singer describes New York’s many selling points and reveals what attracted her to the city. Prospective visitors can also find information on what to do and see in the city that never sleeps.

Along with videos and articles, the website also features content from New Yorkers and tourists who share their experiences on Instagram with the hashtag #W2NY.
