Many past and present love teams work mainly by sticking to formula of not mixing business with pleasure.
Love team partners Yassi Pressman and Andre Paras subscribe to this adage and avoid the complications of romance despite their growing closeness.
The duo first shared the screen together in “Diary Ng Panget” with James Reid and Nadine Lustre. It was followed by their own starrer, “Girlfriend For Hire.”
Yassi shared, “Masaya na kami. Hndi na namin pipilitin pa to put ourselves in another place. Okay na kami na ganito.”
Andre, on his part, shared, “Kasi you know naman how it is with relationships. Madalas may away, tampuhan, so, kung ganoon kami, madadamay pa ’yung fans and then ’yung family namin. We were never specific naman but we both know na work comes first kasi that’s what’s keeping us happy and motivated.”
But the actor cleared he is not closing his doors on the possibility. “If it’s destined, it will happen,” Andre said.
Benjie Paras’ son describes Yassi as a hard worker.
“Yassi’s working not for herself. Actually, kahit puyat pa kami (the other night with work) may ginagawa pa siyang work,” he said.
“So, ako, I do my best to cheer her up and make her feel na ‘Hey, I’m here.’ Na I want her to feel na I’m there for her kahit stressed sa work ’di ba?”
For Andre, Yassi is his closest friend in showbiz.
“We are really close on set, we talk a lot. We share stories, hindi ako nai-ilang. I’m open sa kanya kasi ang bait niya sa akin and if it wasn’t for her also, one year na, I wouldn’t be where I am. Kasi I learned a lot from her sa acting, mas bata pa siya so I’m really inspired.” (MNS)
