(Relaxnews) – In a film galaxy far, far away, not a day goes by without new rumors coming out about one of the most anticipated upcoming films.

Harrison Ford may be out of filming for 8 weeks after injury

A production meeting has taken place to discuss the absence of the Han Solo actor. A memo is even said to have leaked, aimed at the crew and rumored to reorganize the filming without rewriting the script or delaying the production. Lucasfilm has claimed that Harrison Ford’s absence won’t delay the film’s release, expected for December 18, 2015.

Tom Cruise to appear in Episode VII…

Tom Cruise has said that his appearance in the seventh episode is “pure fiction.” The rumor mill is not stopping, however, as Tom Cruise is one of “Star Wars VII” director J.J. Abrams’ favorite actors. They notable worked together on “Mission: Impossible III.”

Simon Pegg as well…

The actor was part of the “M:I 3” and “Star Trek” casts, both directed by Abrams. Talk of a secret visit to the film’s set in Abu Dhabi as well as a role in Episode 7 made waves on social media and the film industry.

In fact, the actor will be C-3PO’s voice double in an episode of the Disney series “Phineas and Ferb” dedicated to the saga, as he indicates in a tweet: “I think this might be why everyone got a little bit confused. #phineasandferb #starwars” http://go.ign.com/TQ8o6q .”

… and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, in Episodes VIII and IX

Now that Rian Johnson is officially on board to direct the two following episodes, Joseph Gordon Levitt’s name immediately came up. The two men have worked together on “Looper” and the director gave Gordon-Levitt advice for his first film as director, “Don Jon.”

Who will play the villains?

The new episode is said to feature the Mandalorians, bounty hunter Boba Fett’s masked warrior group, as well as some Sith witches as its resident villains. According to Latino Review, Lupita Nyong’o, Adam Driver and David Oyelowo could be playing a Jedi-hunting trio.

These rumors are expected to be confirmed or denied in the upcoming weeks and months, although we’ll have to wait for the film’s international release on December 18, 2015 for a final answer.
