MANILA (Mabuhay) -– She may be one of the country’s biggest stars but Sarah Geronimo admits that despite her success, she is still discovering her identity as a musical artist.
The singer-actress said this will be the theme of her upcoming major concert “Sarah Geronimo from the Top,” which will happen later this year at the Araneta Coliseum.
Geronimo said: “Gusto ko from now on, makagawa ako ng mga kanta or ‘yung anything na gagawin ko may kabuluhan. From the top, gusto ko pong magsimulang muli. Feeling ko nasa transition stage ako na kinikilala ko kung ano ba talaga ang identity ko, ano ba talaga ang gusto ko mangyari sa pagiging artist ko.”
Geronimo said she feels blessed that a lot of people look up to her and she wants to give back to them through her music.
“I believe God has given me this talent for a reason and may purpose ito. Sana with the kind of music and songs that I share with the people, ma-inspire ko sila. Sana I can touch more people’s lives,” she said.
The 27-year-old said her only wish is to make a contribution to the industry which people will remember her for.
“Being part of the business is very challenging. Yung sustaining power mo, ‘yung contribution na maibibigay mo sa industriya — ayaw ko kasi na gagawa lang ako ng proyekto just for the sake of money. Gusto ko gumawa ng mga proyekto na makabuluhan,” she said.
The last time Geronimo took the stage of the Big Dome was in 2013 for her “Perfect 10” concert.(MNS)
