Rayver Cruz expressed support for his friend Matteo Guidicelli, who is now being romantically linked to Sarah Geronimo, who was once also involved with the actor-dancer.
“Basta kung saan masaya ang bawat isa. Si Matt, nakikita kong masaya si Matt ngayon kapag dumarating sa shooting so happy ako,” Cruz said.
The actor also stressed that Guidicelli’s rumored relationship with Geronimo will not affect their friendship.
“Ang tagal ko ng kaibigan si Matt, parehas kaming nakatira sa south, pareho kami ng gym na pinupuntahan. So hindi ko pa siya nakakatrabaho ay kakilala ko na si Matt. So kahit anong mangyari ay comfortable kaming dalawa, parang di makakaapekto sa amin ‘yon,” said Cruz, who is also good friends with Gerald Anderson, who once courted Geronimo.
Rumors about Geronimo and the “Galema” actor circulated early this year, when the actor was reported to be the only showbiz personality seen at Geronimo’s private birthday party last July.
This followed his guest stint on her US concert series the previous month.
Both Kapamilya stars have since become evasive of questions on their supposed romantic ties. While they would not deny the rumored relationship, both Geronimo and Guidicelli would also not confirm it.
In an interview on Tuesday during a press conference for Cinema One Originals, Guidicelli again avoided questions about Geronimo but stressed that he is happy with his life and career.
“Very happy and very inspired,” said Guidicelli, who stars in the indie film “Saturday Night Chills” and is also the host of the new season of the Filipino version of the reality show “The Biggest Loser.” (MNS)
