MANILA – The Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) has confiscated over PHP3.6 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested 16 drug personalities from June 2 to 8.

In a report Tuesday, PDEG acting chief Brig. Gen. Jason Capoy said the 13 operations during the period resulted in the seizure of 542 grams of shabu worth PHP3.68 million.

Those arrested include 13 high-value individuals and three street-level drug suspects.

Capoy said the arrests are expected to deal a major blow to local drug syndicates.

“This achievement not only upholds public safety but also strengthens the trust and confidence of the people in law enforcement,” Capoy said. (PNA)
