MANILA  (Mabuhay) — President Aquino’s state of the nation address (SONA) continues to be a work in progress.

Malacañang on Wednesday said Aquino has been meeting with his speechwriters.

Aquino will deliver his 6th and last SONA on July 27.

The Palace prefers to keep the SONA’s theme and contents a secret until it is delivered.

“‘Yung sa theme, hindi po namin pwedeng maaaring sabihin po sa inyo. Hintayin na lang po natin ang huling state of the nation address ng ating Pangulo. Patuloy po ‘yan,” presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said.

“We know the process of drafting the speeches. The President confers with his speechwriters, but the thoughts, the ideas all emanate from the President,” Lacierda added. (MNS)
