(Relaxnews) – Having trouble sticking with your exercise routine? If so, a new online fitness coaching program called Sessions can give you access to trainers via Skype, texting, and email.
Sessions, which just launched commercially, pairs users with coaches who can help you improve your fitness via regular sit-downs via Skype to discuss your daily routines and goals, and how to better go about achieving them. Users complete a diagnostic test, and they meet with their coaches online to discuss a fitness plan. After that, your coach will monitor your workouts via the data collected from wearable fitness devices such as Fitbit or Nike Fuelband, if you’ve got one, or via regularly reports from you.
The 12-week program costs $69, $79 or $199 depending on the level of intensity.
Mobihealthnews reports that this summer, the San Francisco-based company Sessions, a Rock Health alum, enrolled 80 subjects in a randomized control trial of its service at the Mayo Clinic, where they completed a pilot last year. Since the trial is still on-going, no findings are yet available.
