(LOS ANGELES-Relaxnews) – Brooklyn-based electronic rock band Bear in Heaven continues to climb up The Hype Machine’s chart of most blogged artists on March 2 as bloggers circulate a new track by the group. Meanwhile, singer/songwriter Regina Spektor emerges in the top ten with a new track of her own.
Bear in Heaven was formed by musician Jon Philpot and released its first full-length album in 2007, followed by Beast Rest Forth Mouth, which earned Pitchfork Media’s Best New Music award. A new album, I Love You, It’s Cool, is streaming on the band’s website, and bloggers are passing around a remix by CFCF of the track “The Reflection of You.” Drowned in Soundcloud calls CFCF’s version “a svelte, spring-sun drenched dittie.”
Russian-American singer-songwriter Regina Spektor is readying her sixth full-length album, What We Saw from the Cheap Seats, for a mid-May release. She has just shared the track “All the Rowboats” as a digital download; The Muse in Music calls it “a much darker tune then we’ve come to expect from Spektor.”
