 “Think before you act.”

This was the advice of theater actress Jenine Desiderio to her daughter Janella Salvador, who turned 18 last March 30.

“Kasi touch move ‘yan eh. Love life, buhay, kapag nagkamali ka eh ‘yun na ‘yon, paninindigan mo na. So dapat pag-isipan mo muna para hindi ka magkamali,” Desiderio told Salvador.

As a single parent, Desiderio had been through a lot for her kids. “Ang hirap magkamali,” she said.

For her part, Janella promised to continue improving herself and to learn to be more responsible.

“I admit na ang dami kong dapat i-work on sa sarili ko. So I want to improve myself everyday. Gusto ko, I want to work towards responsibility talaga, ‘yun ang lagi niyang sinasabi. Na-realize ko din naman ‘yon on my own. So siguro slowly gusto ko i-work on ang sarili ko,” Salvador said.

“I always tell her the best teacher for me is experience. But she always tells me na parang learn from others’ experiences din,” the young star added.

Currently, Salvador is busy working on her upcoming series “Born For You” with Elmo Magalona. (MNS)
