Actor Matteo Guidicelli is thrilled over his newest soap “Dolce Amore” with lead stars Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano.
Guidicelli shared why the upcoming soap is special to him.
Guidicelli, who last year lost his Italian grandfather, Lolo Nono, shared that they also shot some scenes for the said soap in Italy.
“You know in the end of the year ang sabi ko I just came out with my album, I had my first concert and I said I want to start 2016 promoting the album and concentrating on the album but this project came and my grandpa, before he passed, he said: ‘Matteo I wish you could do a soap in Italian and speak Italian on TV and shoot in Italy.’ I call him Nono,” he said.
But Guidicelli told his grandfather: “Nono, I don’t think that’s going to happen, but okay we can wish for something hindi ba.”
“A few weeks after Star Creatives called up and said ‘we want to pitch you something, Dolce Amore ang title. Ganito, Italian ka, magi-Italian ka,” Guidicelli said.
Aside from English and Filipino, Guidicelli speaks Italian.
In September last year, Guidicelli mourned the loss of his grandfather. Guidicelli’s girlfriend, singer-actress Sarah Geronimo, was in Cebu then to comfort him. (MNS)
