(Relaxnews) – The two actors are expected to co-star in “Daddy’s Home,” a new comedy feature from Will Ferrell and Adam McKay’s Gary Sanchez Productions.

Four years after playing a pair of incompetent cops in Adam McKay’s action comedy “The Other Guys,” Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg are in talks to reunite, Deadline.com reports.

In “Daddy’s Home,” Ferrell will play a mild-mannered man aiming to be a model stepdad to his wife’s two children. Wahlberg is in talks to play the kids’ real father, a freeloader who returns to their lives unexpectedly and competes with the stepdad for their affection.

The project almost went forward last year with Vince Vaughn in the role now being negotiated by Wahlberg. Sean Anders and John Morris have stepped up to direct the feature, which is slated to enter production this fall.
