(Relaxnews) – Jeremy Lin becomes a global basketball sensation, Barcelona drop crucial points again, and an ex-softball player trains for the Japanese baseball season in the week’s most watched sports videos for February 16.

Viewers of both YouTube and Tudou follow the exploits of the New York Knicks’ Asian American point guard Jeremy Lin.

The Knicks’ upturn in fortunes coincided with Lin’s transformation from bench-warmer to team lynch-pin and his emergence as a global superstar-in-waiting.

Chinese, Taiwanese and American fans can claim him as their own — Lin is American by birth, with parents who hail from Taiwan and family connections to mainland China.

On Dailymotion, 2011’s Spanish champions Barcelona find themselves surprise losers to mid-table Osasuna.

The teams had tangled in January’s Spanish cup knockout, with Barca going through 6-1 on aggregate.

In the league’s February 11 meeting, Osasuna further cemented Barcelona’s current second-place problems with a shock 3-2 win.

Users of Japanese site Nico Nico watched footage from the training camp of pro baseball team Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters, featuring rookie softball star Takumi Oshima and experienced pitcher Kazuhito Tadano.
