Kris Aquino announced that she has finally been allowed to push through with a film project where she will portray a mistress, following a conflict with her existing endorsement contract with a multi-national company.
Aquino confirmed that she will once again be part of the film adaptation “Etiquette for Mistresses and What Wives Can Learn From Them,” a Julie Yap Daza book released in 1992, during the live telecast of “Aquino & Abunda Tonight.”
Title simply “Etiquette for Mistresses,” the film will be helmed by Chito Roño and produced by Star Cinema.
While she did not give a name, Aquino hinted that she will star alongside Claudine Barretto, who earlier re-posted on Instagram reports of her supposed casting.
Aquino described her co-star as someone “very special to me” and with whom she worked with in a film also helmed by Rono. In 2006, Aquino and Barretto top-billed the horror film “Sukob,” which at the time was the highest grossing local film of all time.
Noting that her past project with the mystery co-star was a box-office hit, Aquino said, “Parang giveaway naman na kung sino ‘yon.”
“Ikaw Lamang” star Kim Chiu, Aquino added, will also be joining the film.
She said she will be shooting “Etiquette for Mistresses” simultaneously with her just-announced film with Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista, which will start production in July under the direction of Antoinette Jadaone. (MNS)
