MANILA (Mabuhay) –GABBY Eigenmann said that he doesn’t feel that he was given a lesser role in the television series “Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga.”

“Realistically, I’m in no race anymore. It’s a profession… a job. Kung ano man ang ibigay, hindi naman ako big star para mamili,” he said.

The GMA talent added that he wouldn’t accept the role if it was not at par with his acting ability and if it doesn’t challenge him as an actor.
“Hindi ko naman tatanggapin yun unless hindi maganda yung pagka present sa amin, yung character din. Hindi na ako nagdalawang isip kasi I trust GMA kasi alam ko na hindi nila ako pababayaan,” he said.

Before accepting “Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga,” Gabby was doing “Broken Vow” and “Munting Heredera.”

Gabby said he is thankful to the network for all the opportunities and projects given to him in the past 15 years.

He said his main goal is to become part of a project that would test his limits as an actor.

“Hini-hold ko pa rin yung craft. Hoping to have another opportunity to do difficult roles. Sabi nga nila patience will always be rewarded. I’ve always been very patient and nabigyan ako ng maraming shows. Happy ako,” he said. “I’m not eyeing to be a superstar. I’m trying to maintain my brand of reliable acting. I will always do the best of my talent,” he added.

He said rest rejuvenates his system, but he’s always keen to always go back to work.

When asked if he sees himself quitting showbiz, Gabby said: “I don’t think that would come soon. Ang dami ko pang gustong gawin and ang dami ko pang gustong marating.” (MNS)
