Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano clarified they are not in a romantic relationship yet and would rather focus on their showbiz career.
At the recent press conference of “Dolce Amore,” the love team’s newest primetime series on ABS-CBN, the actor said their friendship remains the same but “it develops more”.
Gil has not officially courted Soberano even though the latter turned 18 years old last January 4.
“Tuwing nagbi-birthday, nagre-rewind e. Nagba-back track. It’s still the same. Well, not like before. It develops more,” he jokingly said.
Joking aside, the actor added: “’Yung pagiging (boyfriend-girlfriend), hindi pa pwede sa ngayon. You know, there are other priorities. You have to prioritize. Pero we’re in a place na we’re so happy.
Gil said they don’t need to label what they have now because they are both happy in their respective personal and professional lives.
“Label doesn’t really mean anything as long as you’re happy. So, as long as you’re happy, nothing really matters.”
Soberano, on her part, said they both enjoy the close relationship they have.
“Masaya na lagi kaming magkatrabaho. It’s really good being with him becasue the foundation of our friendship… sobrang solid. I’m just happy with what’s going on right now.”
“Dolce Amore” premiered last February 15 on ABS-CBN. (MNS)
