(Relaxnews) – American art photographer Ryan McGinley has shot Bottega Veneta’s latest campaign for the men’s and women’s Resort 2015 collections on location in the New York Botanical Garden.
McGinley is the latest photographer to take on the collaboration with the Italian luxury brand, with previous talents including Pieter Hugo, Collier Schorr and Nan Goldin, and the New York City-based artist shows off the painterly colors in the new collection as well as the new grainy goatskin and bright snakeskin bags.
“I have been a great admirer of Ryan McGinley’s work for some time now,” said Bottega Veneta Creative Director Tomas Maier. “His images have not only energy and movement, but often a slightly surreal, dreamlike quality that I thought would be an intriguing match with this collection.”
Emerging from the skate scene in the last decade, McGinley made waves at age 25, with his first solo show at the Whitney Museum of American Art, and his work is now present in the collections of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, and the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery in Washington DC. He has previously shot campaigns for Dior fragrances and fashion brand Edun.
The images will appear in the November issues of global fashion magazines, with a video set to arrive online at bottegaveneta.com at the same time.
