MANILA (Mabuhay) -– Dawn Zulueta, who is considered among the most beautiful women in showbiz, is not afraid of growing old.
“I’m not afraid of aging physically, how I look. I’m afraid of aging in terms of not being able to do the things that I enjoy. I don’t want to be in wheelchair. I don’t want to be incapacitated. That kind, I’m afraid of,” the 46-year-old actress said.
Zulueta also does not plan to undergo any surgical enhancements just to maintain her youthful looks. “Hindi na siguro. I won’t. I just really hope my sunny disposition will carry me through,” she said, laughing.
Zulueta’s onscreen love team, actor Richard Gomez, also shares the same view as his “The Love Affair” leading lady.
“I’m not afraid of aging. Accepted sa akin ‘yun na one day, we’ll grow old. Pero for me, hangga’t kaya ko siya i-delay, I will delay it. If I can be active until I’m much older, I’ll still be active,” he explained.
Having been in the showbiz industry for so long, Gomez said he is just grateful for everything that he and Zulueta have been blessed with.
“Sa tagal natin sa industriya, I’m happy where we are right now. We are doing very well. We are very grateful,” he said.
Considered as one of the most sought-after tandems in the ’90s, Gomez and Zulueta reunited on screen in the series “Walang Hanggan,” which concluded in October 2012. The two also starred in the Star Cinema movie “The Love Affair”.(MNS)
