CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – Police on Saturday arrested three suspected high-value drug personalities and seized PHP2.1 million worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust in Barangay San Isidro, Cainta, Rizal.

In a statement, Rizal Provincial Police Director Col. Feloteo Gonzalgo said operatives from the Cainta Municipal Police Station, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, arrested alias “Khalef,” 46, operations manager of a security agency and resident of Los Baños, Laguna; alias “Jam,” 45, a resident of Quezon City; and alias “Naser,” 53, security guard and resident of Pandi, Bulacan.

The operations, conducted around 1:25 a.m., resulted in the confiscation of 320 grams of suspected shabu in seven plastic sachets, and a vehicle used in the transasction.

The suspects will be charged with violating Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act).

“We assure that police operations against illegal drugs will remain relentless in line with the government’s campaign to curb criminality and maintain peace and order in Rizal province,” Gonzalgo said. (PNA)
