(Relaxnews) – Burberry has unveiled a behind-the-scenes Christmas video as part of its festive campaign.
“The Burberry Festive Film: Christmas with the cast” sees the brand’s campaign stars comedian and TV host James Corden, supermodel Naomi Campbell and actress Julie Walters talking about their favorite Christmas memories and sharing top tips for the perfect holiday.
In between footage of the stars jumping on trampolines and dancing to the soundtrack, they discuss what Christmas means to them.
“Just now doing the jumping I requested Elton John’s ‘Step into Christmas,’ which I think has got the best line in a Christmas song ever, which is ‘step into Christmas, the admission’s free,” says Corden. “Which is basically saying it doesn’t cost you anything to have a great time.”
“It means dancing in the kitchen and everyone’s cooking one dish and everyone’s having a drink and everyone’s just dancing around and having a laugh and coming together,” says Campbell.
Meanwhile, Walters talks about the magic of Christmas Eve and recalls the time she burned the turkey by accidentally grilling it. She adds:”Top tip for Christmas: don’t do that!”
The video is the latest installment of the UK fashion house’s Billy Elliot-themed festive campaign, which features a star-studded cast of British talent, including Sir Elton John, Romeo Beckham and Rosie Huntington-Whitely. The campaign comprises a video and a series of still photographs taken by renowned fashion photographer Mario Testino, and was released to coincide with the cult film’s 15th anniversary.
“Billy Elliot is an incredible film full of so much joy and energy, so it was a real thrill and a great honor to be able to celebrate its 15-year anniversary through our Festive campaign,” said CEO and Chief Creative Christopher Bailey at the time of the campaign’s release. “It was also a huge privilege to work with such amazing and iconic British talent – the cast are quite simply some of the biggest names in film, music and fashion and it was so much fun working with them all to make this special film.”
