(Relaxnews) – Oscars organizers announced on Wednesday that Barbra Streisand will take to the stage at the Hollywood and Highland Center in Los Angeles for the 85th Oscars ceremony.
Seventy-year-old Barbra Streisand will take part in cinema’s most prestigious awards ceremony on Sunday, February 24. This will be the first time the singer has performed at the Oscars in 36 years.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has awarded two prizes to Barbra Streisand in the past: first in 1969 with the Oscar for Best Actress in “Funny Girl,” then in 1977 with the Oscar for Best Song for “Evergreen.”
Other music stars performing at the Oscars include Norah Jones and Adele. Seth MacFarlane will host the ceremony.
