Anne Curtis says no to wedding bells yet
Anne Curtis is not in a hurry to settle down and start a family.
The 31-year-old Kapamilya actress explained that she wants to maximize her showbiz career and then tie the knot in two or three years’ time.
“It comes on its own right time. Ako kasi napaka career driven ko and once you decide na handa ka nang magpakasal, dapat handa ka na din i-give up kung anong meron ka sa career mo kasi mag-iiba yan,” she said.
Curtis believes that the right marrying age is in early to mid 30s, just like her showbiz pals Karylle and Toni Gonzaga.
“I think yun ang tamang edad, like si Karylle, si Toni. I think yung ganung age ang tama kasi na-maximize mo na yung career mo.”
The “It’s Showtime” host added that she and boyfriend of five years Erwan Heussaff still have many career and personal goals yet to achieve.
“Sa ngayon, Erwan and I are very much happy pero we’re very much career driven. So, hindi namin minamadali yung mga bagay na yan.”
Meanwhile, Curtis gave her approval to Jeff Ortega, the suitor of her younger sister Jasmine.
“Basta kung saan masaya yung baby girl ko. Ayokong mag confirm or mag deny ng anything for her kasi siya naman yun e. Basta ako, I’m so happy for her.”
Curtis said she’s happy that the guy makes an effort to reach out to her family.
“Plus factor kasi sa akin yung nagre-reach out sa family, hindi lang sa akin, pati sa mommy and daddy.”
In a prior interview with Jasmine at the FujiFilm event last month, she said that Ortega, who hails from an influential political family in La Union and a Political Science graduate from Ateneo de Manila University, is a longtime family friend.
Jasmine said her sister and Ortega get along well.
“She knows and she’s good (with him). Kasi we’ve known him for years na and it’s not like, ‘where did he come from and sino siya?’ We’ve been friends for a while din naman,” the Kapatid star said.
There were rumors before that Anne does not approve of her sister’s ex-boyfriend Sam Concepcion. The male singer and Jasmine called it quits first quarter of 2015. (MNS)
