CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan – All senatorial candidates of the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas should win the midterm elections to ensure the continuity of the administration’s big projects, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said Wednesday.
During the Alyansa’s campaign rally at the Bulacan Sports Complex here, Marcos courted the Bulacan electorate to vote straight for the administration-backed Senate slate.
This, as Marcos enumerated several projects and programs of his administration, including the PHP20-per-kg. rice program, the establishment of BUCAS centers, and South Commuter Railway, and the San Ildefonso Bypass Road.
We want all these government programs to continue. That’s why we were able to do this, that’s why we were able to start it, is because we are getting help from our congressmen and especially, our senators),” he said.
That’s why if we want to continue the good programs that we started, we need to elect senators who understand the needs of the people, who understand how to improve and make the lives of every Filipino better),” Marcos added.
Marcos said he is confident in presenting the Alyansa’s senatorial bets, considering their strong will to set aside political differences to bring unity and development to the country.
He said the Alyansa candidates have pure intentions in improving Filipinos’ lives, stressing that they aim to maintain peace and order, lower commodity prices, and empower women.
When we are looking for partners, we are looking for people who will help us with our programs, we look for the best. And if you look at them one by one, they are famous people and we have put them together),” Marcos said.
We can truly say that they are the best senatorial candidates in this election).”
This is the second time Alyansa held a campaign rally in Bulacan, following the Feb. 28 sortie in San Jose del Monte City.
Bulacan province, with its historically high voter turnout, is expected to play a crucial role in shaping the results of the May 12 elections.
Bulacan is a first-class province with 2.17 million registered voters, playing a pivotal role in the 2022 elections after the province delivered a decisive victory for Marcos, who secured 1,024,069 votes. (PNA)
