MANILA – National University eyes a historic three-peat against De La Salle University in Game 1 of the UAAP Season 88 men’s baseball title series on Tuesday at the Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium in Malate, Manila.

Game time is at 8 a.m.

The Bulldogs swept the Green Batters in the double-round eliminations, 14-4 and 10-5.

“I know La Salle will really strategize, so we have to prepare for anything that happens and we are ready for the Finals,” said NU head coach Romar Landicho in a news release Monday.

Jherick Timban delivered a decisive three-RBI home run in NU’s 7-4 win over the University of the Philippines in the Final Four last Saturday.

La Salle, the league’s most prolific hitting and scoring team, on the other hand, pulled off a 7-5 victory over Adamson University.

“All we have to do was execute what we needed to do in the game like the signals, the chants, the hits and runs, then the rest would follow,” said La Salle head coach Joseph Orillana.

Game 2 is scheduled on April 17 at 8 a.m., while a deciding Game 3, if necessary, will be played on April 21. (PNA)
