CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – Police arrested three high-value individuals (HVIs) and confiscated suspected “shabu” worth PHP1.7 million in a buy-bust operation in Dasmariñas City, Cavite early Wednesday.
In a report, Col. Ariel Red, acting director of the Cavite Police Provincial Office, identified the suspects through their aliases as “Owen,” “Sop,” and “Jen,” all residents of Dasmariñas City.
Recovered during the operation in Barangay Datu Esmael were two knot-tied plastic ice bags and two heat-sealed sachets containing around 250 grams of suspected shabu, along with the buy-bust money.
“The Cavite police reiterate its commitment to shield communities from the grip of illegal drugs,” Red said, noting that every successful operation strengthens efforts toward safer streets and a drug-free province.
The suspects are now under police custody and are facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
