MANILA – The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday said it would send a team to Malaysia to bring Alan Dennis Lim Sytin – the alleged mastermind in the 2018 killing of his brother, Dominic – home and to justice.

PNP Police Regional Office 3 Director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo said a team will fly to Malaysia on Thursday or Friday as coordination with the Office of the Police Attaché (OPA) in Malaysia is underway.

“We are just preparing for the travel documents required for the immediate repatriation of Dennis Sytin so he could face this murder case that we have filed against him,” Fajardo said.

Alan Dennis was apprehended in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia on March 22, the same day his alleged accomplice, Edrian Rementilla, also known as Ryan Rementilla and Oliver Fuentes, was arrested in Buhanginan Hills, Pala-o, Iligan City.

She also said Alan Dennis is in the custody of the Royal Malaysian Police and is undergoing processing for violating Malaysia’s immigration laws.

Fajardo, however, said the PNP has already requested representation from the special envoy on transnational crime, and through their office, they have coordinated with the Philippine Embassy in Malaysia.

Alan Dennis will be detained at Camp Olivas in San Fernando, Pampanga, while awaiting the commitment order from the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 7, which issued the arrest warrant, on where he will be held to face the murder case.

The suspect, who has a PHP10-million bounty on his head, was implicated in the murder of his brother, Dominic, president and founder of United Auctioneers Inc.

Dominic was shot and killed in front of a hotel in Subic on Nov. 28, 2018. The attack also wounded his bodyguard. (PNA)
