MANILA – Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents arrested four high-value individuals and seized more than PHP4.7 million worth of shabu in a sting operation in Cavite province.
In a statement Sunday, PDEA said the suspects, identified as alias Kumar, 34; Samiha, 33; Aisah, 21; and Alaisah, 19, were arrested at the parking lot of a mall in Barangay Molino IV, Bacoor, Cavite on Saturday afternoon.
Seized from the suspects were 700 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP4.7 million and the buy-bust money.
The pieces of evidence have been submitted to the PDEA laboratory for chemical analysis and proper disposition.
The suspects are detained at the local PDEA facility and would face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
During his third State of the Nation Address in July last year, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. pledged to continue the bloodless anti-narcotics drive, emphasizing that extermination is not a part of his administration’s campaign. (PNA)
