DUMAGUETE CITY – A man was wounded after he was shot by another man in Barangay Cabangahan, Siaton town in Negros Oriental on Monday afternoon.

An initial report from the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (NOrPPO) said the shooting incident took place around 5:11 p.m. in the remote interior barangay. No reports of the weapons.

The victim, identified as Teodolo Gadingan, 53, of Barangay Cabangahan, was allegedly shot by Marlon Baco, also known as “Galo Arellano” and “Ariel Aseñas”, for still unknown reason.

The victim sustained a gunshot wound to his leg.

The suspect fled the scene on board a black and white XRM motorcycle.

Lt. Stephen Polinar, NOrPPO spokesperson, said police investigators were determining whether the shooting incident was election-related. (PNA)
